As you read this, I’ve probably just landed in Uganda. That means the worst part of the trip is over (29 hours of flights) and the exciting part begins!
A few weeks ago I told you about this opportunity to train youth workers and parents in Kampala, Uganda. I’ll be spending the next two weeks hanging out with African youth workers, dialoguing with them about ministry, and then teaching my CONNECT workshop and how to reach young people influenced by American Youth Culture (a growing need).
Here’s my rough schedule:
-arrive in Uganda September 3rd
-Use 3rd and 4th for recuperating,meeting with people, induction and preparation
-5th and 6th are the days for the training workshop for university/campus youth workers.
University youth workers training workshop
Venue: University Community Church (UCF) in Makerere Kikoni
Fee: 20000shs only per person
Dates: 5th and 6th September
Time: 10am to 4pm
-7th is visit to Jinja for the day
-8th is preaching in one of the city churches and then parents seminar at the baptist church in the evening
-9th 10th and 11th is the city youth workers conference
Urban Youth Workers conference
Venue: All Saints Church Kampala
Fee: 30000shs only per person
Dates: 9th,10th and 11th September
Time: 10am to 4pm
-fly out the 12th
-arrive home on the 13th
